Elms Court Village in Upper Riccarton is owned and operated by Steve and Rosalind Burke and was purchased in June 2021. We are committed to turning what once was another corporate into a family home that truly cares about the people who reside here in our home. We offer a range of services from independent living right through to rest home and hospital level care. Residents can also choose from a range of options; apartments, studios, premium or standard rooms. Studios and apartments are buyable under a license to occupy agreement or alternatively standard and premium rest home and hospital rooms are available.
Steve our Village Manager & owner along with Litty (RN) our Clinical Nurse Manager lead a team of dedicated staff to oversee the care to our residents. All have a wide range of nursing and clinical management experience and enjoy sharing their knowledge with other staff to continually increase their skill base.
We have stable, dedicated and hard-working staff who take pride in the attention and personal care that they give to our residents. Some of our staff are first aid trained and several are studying or have completed Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing. Being a rest home and a hospital means that we always have a Registered Nurse on duty and higher staffing levels than some only rest home level homes.
We take an active interest in the recreation and entertainment of our residents. We offer an extensive activities programme under the guidance of our Lifestyle Co-ordinators, Bhaddrika, Steven and Ness. We do weekly outings in a van to a range of places including cafes, museums, the sea and anywhere our residents want to go!
Over the years there have been many changes in care. Elms Court continues to strive to provide excellence in the personal care and comfort of those individuals who wish to join our happy home in their twilight years.
