We provide a flexible home-like environment which recognises the uniqueness of each person.
Elms Court Village (ex The Maples), in Upper Riccarton, was acquired from the corporates in June 2021. We offer a range of services from one bedroom apartments right through to higher level hospital care if required. Studios and apartments are buyable under a license to occupy agreement or alternatively standard and premium rest home and hospital rooms are available.
Elms Court Life Care, in Avonhead, is managed by Sarah Trusler. Sarah, a close friend of the family has worked with Steve and Roz since the inception of Elms Court Rest Home. Sarah, a Registered Nurse creates a homely environment for people needing a higher level of care. The home emphasises family, independence, spontaneity and flexibility. We also offer a day care service.
Elms Court Rest Home, in Opawa, is managed by Steve’s wife Roz. This lovely little place has been in the Burke Family for over 25 years. We cater for elders in a small, very flexible, home like environment. We recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of the individual encouraging them to continue a fulfilling lifestyle both within and outside Elms Court Rest Home.
To Roz, Steve and all staff that looked after mum. Thank you so much for everything, you are all amazing.Dawn
Our homes become your homes and we encourage you to bring and share your life with us. Pets are always welcome.
We pride ourselves on our service, which ensures that each resident is cared for by caregivers who have the time to get to know each individual and their needs. Our experienced team have worked together for over 5 years and coordinate and administer residents care in a highly professional manner.
Remaining active while at Elms Court is an important part of our philosophy – health dependent – our residents are actively encouraged to get out and enjoy themselves individually and with friends and family. We also provide planned group outings as often as possible.
We welcome visitors at any time and invite you to pop by for a cup of tea and see what makes us special yourselves.
